It seems that Abu Dhabi has become the perfect place for Spanish royals who want to escape from trouble. First, it was the emeritus King Juan Carlos, 85, in 2020, following investigations against him for the handling of his finances. Now, three years later, it is his grandson, Felipe Juan Froilán, 24, who is heading to the capital of the United Arab Emirates.

A few days ago it became known that the son of the Infanta Elena has moved to Abu Dhabi to, among other things, work and keep his grandfather company. Some users on social networks have taken the decision as an attempt by the royal family to keep him away from the controversies he has faced in recent months.

How long will Felipe Juan Froilán be in Abu Dhabi?

According to the Spanish press, after the funeral of King Constantine of Greece, held last Monday, January 16, 2023, and in which almost the entire Spanish royal family participated, Juan Froilán left with his grandfather. His mother, the Infanta Elena accompanied him to settle in.

It is known that his stay will be for a short time and that he will not share the same residence as his grandfather. Although it is not known the exact time he will be in the Arab country, the family hopes it will be enough for him to return refreshed and with a new vision of life.

The most serious controversy in which Felipe Juan Froilán was involved was just a few weeks ago when the media reported that he was involved in a fight with knives in a nightclub in Madrid. This is not the first controversy of this kind Froilán has been linked to, but the royal family hopes it will be the last.
