Prince William is currently in Cape Town, where he is preparing for the presentation of the Earthshot Prize this Wednesday, November 6.
This event is attended by some prominent figures, such as Heidi Klum, Billy Porter, and model Winnie Harlow.
But before going on stage, William gave a candid interview, in which he touched on various topics, from a friendship bracelet that Princess Charlotte gave him, to the health of his wife, Kate Middleton, who this year is again absent from the ceremony, this time due to her health.
What did Prince William say about Kate Middleton’s health?
Regarding Kate’s health, William revealed that Princess Kate, who began her cancer treatment in February, announced in September that she had finished her chemotherapy.
“She’s been amazing this whole year. I know she will be really keen to see tonight be a success,” William added proudly.
He also said, “She’s doing really well, thanks. And hopefully, she is watching tonight, cheering me on.”
During the conversation, William was asked if the whole family follows his example in terms of taking care of the environment.
“Yeah, well, you know, every family tries to do what they can to sort of help with the environment,” he said. “We go through all the basics of recycling and making sure we minimize water use and turn off lights when we leave the house and stuff like that, and making sure, which is sensible, in what we do around the environment.”
In addition, the Prince shared an endearing anecdote about his daughter Charlotte, who made him a friendship bracelet inspired by a Taylor Swift concert.
“Well, this is a relic, if you like, from a Taylor Swift concert that my daughter decided she wanted to create a bracelet for,” William explained. “She gave it to me when I came away. So I promised that I’d wear it and try not to lose it while I was out here.”
But there is not only good news related to the event. According to Robert Jobson, a royal expert, Princess Kate is slowly recovering from her difficult year of treatment.
Jobson mentioned that, as far as he knows, Kate is doing very well. In fact, she has returned to the gym and has resumed many of the activities she enjoys.**
He also assured that we will soon be able to see the Princess more frequently, fulfilling her commitments and working behind the scenes.
This gradual recovery of Kate’s is a cause for celebration, as she has begun to return to work steadily and has been holding both private meetings and public engagements.
So, as Prince William shines in Cape Town, it looks like England’s royal family is finding its balance again, and that’s always good news.
