While Princess Amalia stole more than a glance with her lavender dress and her first tiara, Queen Maxima made it clear that she still has many strong cards in her jewelry box.
During the gala dinner in honor of the Sultan of Oman, held at the Royal Palace in Amsterdam, the Queen of the Netherlands did not go unnoticed with a look full of history, glitter and personal style.

For the occasion, she rescued a hand-embroidered dress that is not just any garment. It is a piece of the firm Mahpara Khan, which was given to her in 2019 during an official visit to Pakistan.
The garment, inspired by the traditional Indian lehenga choli, was adapted especially for her as the original two-piece design left the abdomen uncovered. Now, it has been transformed into an elegant and sophisticated one-piece model.
But if the dress already had its history, the jewelry was not far behind. Maxima bet big and took out of the royal jewelry box one of the most emblematic pieces of the House of Orange: the Württemberg tiara.
This jewel, decorated with diamonds and more than 50 pearls, has a floral design and a history that dates back to 1839, when it was given by King William I of Württemberg to his daughter Sophia, on the occasion of her wedding to King William III of the Netherlands.
Over the years, this tiara has had various forms of use: without pearls, with pearls only on top, only on the bottom, or with both.
Queen Beatrix, mother of King Willem-Alexander, wore it in its full version on very few occasions, such as at her wedding in 1966 or during the state visit to the United Kingdom in 1982.
Maxima, meanwhile, during a visit of the Italian president in 2022, was encouraged to wear it in its full version.
The rest of the look was just as thoughtful. She completed the styling with a necklace of five strands of pearls and long earrings that also ended in pearl.
