Queen Maxima is back. After canceling two events last week due to flu symptoms, she celebrated her 24th wedding anniversary with Wilhelm Alexander on Monday, working in public, and today it was Tilburg’s turn.
The visit was part of the Leading Locals project, a learning network aimed at strengthening the mental health of young people.

Maxima participated in a workshop at a local institute where teenagers and youth workers shared their experiences. Then, a discussion followed on how the region can continue to grow into a mentally resilient environment.
But let’s be honest, beyond the cause, we were all paying attention to what she was wearing.

For the occasion, she chose one of her favorite outfits by Danish designer Claes Iversen. It’s a piece from his Fall/Winter 2015-2016 collection, which premiered at Copenhagen Fashion Week. A mandarin-toned wool suit, featuring a classic blazer and straight-leg trousers with pleats.
She paired it with a cognac-colored T-shirt and a Natan suede clutch, a familiar addition to her wardrobe. None of this is new to her, but it works because she knows exactly how to create a look that is professional without sacrificing personality.

The shoes were Gianvito Rossi 105s, the heels that nearly every royal has in their closet. Handcrafted in Italy from suede, featuring a 105mm stiletto heel and a pointed toe. This time, she chose them in peach, which perfectly matched the mandarin tone of the suit.
It’s the kind of coordination that seems easy, but actually requires a keen eye. The result was a perfectly coordinated outfit in warm tones that conveyed energy without being overpowering.
