Queen Letizia’s sister, Telma Ortiz, had a special participation during Queen Rania of Jordan’s trip to New York. The Hashemite monarch was at the Concordia Annual Summit 2022, a meeting whose focus is partnerships for social impact.

The appointment was in ‘The Big Apple’, the same city that Queen Letizia visited and where she fulfilled important official commitments such as the fight against cancer or the visibility of mental health.

    Who is Telma Ortiz?

Telma Ortiz, the younger sister of the Spanish queen consort, is 48 years old and has a degree in Economics, she graduated from the University of Barcelona and has specialized in international relations, that knowledge precisely led her to be with the Queen of Jordan these last days.

Ortiz works for the NGO Concordia and was in charge of being the guide of the Queen of Jordan. She was the one who took the Arab monarch to the stage for the scheduled dialogue.

Queen Letizia’s sister sues the press.

After the commotion that was unleashed when the engagement of the then journalist Letizia Ortiz to Felipe, Prince of Asturias was announced, the press turned to know more about the family of the future Queen of Spain, something that was not to the liking of Telma, who even denounced more than a dozen media outlets to stop chasing her to take pictures of her and her family.

When the lawsuit was dismissed, she moved to the United States, but currently resides in Madrid with her husband and two daughters.

Despite their busy schedules, it is not known if the sisters have had the opportunity to see each other in New York, although they have been in the same place and almost at the same time.
