While Princess Leonor escapes to the beach with a group of friends, and King Felipe and Queen Letizia go out for dinner, Infanta Sofía has already fully resumed her school activities after a discreet summer vacation.
After her holidays in Mallorca and a brief visit to Paris with her sister, Princess Leonor, to cheer on Spanish athletes at the Olympics, Infanta Sofía has returned to Wales.
Infanta Sofia’s return to Wales
Since August 23, Sofía has been back at UWC Atlantic College, where she will begin her second and final year of studies, according to the Spanish press.
This international school is known for its diversity, with students from around 80 countries, and it was the same institution where Princess Leonor completed her education.
Although classes will officially start on September 3, second-year students arrive earlier to serve as mentors to the new students, in a process that fosters integration and coexistence.
Infanta Sofía, 17, will complete her education at this prestigious institution on May 24, 2025.

When will Infanta Sofía’s vacations be?
The school’s academic vacations are scheduled in three periods: from October 25 to November 3, from December 11 to January 6, and a final period yet to be determined.
As was the case with Princess Leonor, Felipe and Letizia cover the costs of Sofía’s education, which exceed $80,000 for the two years of attendance.
After finishing her studies, it is unknown what Sofía’s next step will be, but it is not expected that she will follow the same path as her sister Leonor, as she is not required to undergo military training.
Although Sofía is already in Wales, we won’t have to wait long to see her again. In October, she is expected to participate in the award ceremony of the photography contest that bears her name, suggesting a quick return to public life.
