Amidst a wave of concern and speculation, Buckingham Palace has released a significant update regarding King Charles’s health.
This announcement comes after speculation that the monarch’s health was “not good” and that everything concerning his funeral is constantly being reviewed.
King Charles’ Health Update
This April 26, Buckingham Palace reported on the monarch’s battle with cancer and his imminent return to public life.
This update silences rumors of a deterioration in King Charles’ health that suggested the monarch was sicker than had been made public.
On February 5, the king revealed his cancer diagnosis, in an unprecedented act of royal transparency.
It has never been specified what type of cancer the monarch is suffering from. They have only said that it is not prostate cancer.
According to the U.S. portal, sources close to the palace claim that King Charles’ health “It’s not good.”
“He is really very unwell. More than they are letting on,” said a longtime family friend to The Daily Beast.
It was also stated that Charles’ funeral plans (Operation Menai Bridge) are updated periodically. Hinting at the deteriorating health of Charles III.
How is King Charles doing
In the face of all the speculation generated, the palace stepped forward and assured that the treatment of King Charles is still ongoing.
The monarch’s medical team has expressed its satisfaction with the progress made so far, which will allow the king to gradually resume some of his public functions.
“His Majesty’s treatment program will continue, but doctors are sufficiently pleased with the progress made so far that The King is now able to resume a number of public-facing duties. Forthcoming engagements will be adapted where necessary to minimize any risks to His Majesty’s continued recovery,” a Buckingham Palace spokesperson said.
It is understood that, as Charles continues with treatment, upcoming engagements will be adjusted as necessary to ensure his well-being.
In an encouraging tone, the Buckingham Palace spokesman assured that King Charles is very “encouraged” to resume some public functions.
From the palace assure that any face-to-face engagement “will be announced in advance nearer the time in the usual.”
King Charles will continue to comply with medical advice and attend official state business and selected audiences, as he has been doing since his cancer diagnosis.
