Princess Leonor of Asturias, heir to the throne of Spain, has recently undergone a major change in her life.

After finishing her studies at the UWC Atlantic College in Wales, where she resided as a boarder, the princess now resides at La Zarzuela.

However, this transition has not been without its difficulties, as reports indicate that Leonor has shown signs of rebellion.

Sources close to the Spanish portal Monarquia Confidencial have revealed that Leonor has shown resistance to her parents’ directives and has even expressed dissatisfaction with her security escort.

Leonor’s rebellious tendencies seem to stem from the stark contrast between her life as a boarder in Wales and her current circumstances.

While attending UWC Atlantic College, Leonor enjoyed a degree of freedom that allowed her to make age-appropriate plans without constant parental supervision.

However, since her return to Madrid, this freedom has been drastically curtailed.

Sources reveal that the princess feels overwhelmed by the sudden change from the relative independence she experienced in Wales to the more structured and closely supervised environment at home.

To cope with these challenges, Leonor has sought solace in the company of her younger sister, Infanta Sofia, with whom she shares an unbreakable bond.

In addition, the princess continues to rely on the friendships she cultivated during her time at Rosales College and the close-knit group she formed during her time in Wales.

In fact, Leonor plans to embark on a trip with her Welsh friends before departing for Mallorca, where she will spend time with her parents, King Felipe and Queen Letizia.

Leonor’s rebelliousness has also manifested itself in her interactions with security personnel assigned to protect her.

During her stay in Wales, the princess had a team of three escorts dedicated to ensuring her safety and guaranteeing her well-being in the country.

However, upon her return to La Zarzuela, the specific number of foot guards accompanying her remains undisclosed, as both the King’s Household and the Ministry of the Interior have cited security reasons for withholding this information.

However, it is confirmed that the princess has three agents who rotate in shifts to guard her.

Despite her rebellious streak, those close to Leonor say she is aware of her future role as the head of the Spanish monarchy.

However, she is not fully on board with all aspects of her impending responsibilities.

The Princess knows that a drastic change is coming when she enters the General Military Academy, so she is trying to make the most of her summer before beginning her studies in Zaragoza.
