The countdown has begun. One month to go until the Princess of Asturias Awards, and many details are already known about what will be Princess Leonor’s reappearance in Spain.
It has been two months since the heir to the throne made her last public appearance in Mallorca. Now, the month of October is marked for the eldest daughter of the King and Queen of Spain to return to the limelight.
When will the Princess of Asturias Awards be held?
The Spanish portal Vanitatis, has revealed that the events surrounding the awards will follow the same pattern as last year. This suggests that the first appearance of Leonor and Sofia in Asturias will take place on the evening of Thursday, October 27, when the traditional pre-ceremony concert will be held. The sisters will be accompanied by their parents.
The following day, October 28, the King and Queen of Spain and their daughters will receive the laureates in audience at the Reconquista Hotel. After 6:30 p.m., the Campoamor Theater will host the Princess of Asturias Awards Ceremony, one of the most important events for the Royal Family.
For the fourth consecutive year, the public and the press will be attentive to the speech to be given by Princess Leonor, who is about to turn 17.
The following day the royal family will end their stay in Asturias after delivering the recognition as Exemplary Town 2022 to Cadavedo, a parish of the Asturian council of Valdes.
So far it is not known if Leonor’s presence at the Princess of Asturias Awards will be the last appearance in an official act this year.
