After spending two months in Spain enjoying the summer vacations, Princess Leonor begins her countdown to resume her studies in Wales.
The eldest daughter of King Felipe and Queen Letizia will have to return on August 26th to UWC Atlantic College in Wales to resume her second year of the International Baccalaureate.
The Royal Household has not given details of how the heiress will return to Wales, as it is a private trip. It is speculated that Leonor will take a scheduled flight to Heathrow Airport, next Friday and then go by bus to the UWC Atlantic Colleges of Wales.
Did Princess Leonor do during her vacation in Spain?
The Princess of Asturias has been in Spain since June 17, when she returned to her country to enjoy her summer vacations. Undoubtedly it was a period where the heiress regained the limelight after appearing in several events.
Leonor’s first appearance was in a family and cultural outing where the King and Queen of Spain went to the Canal Theater with their daughters to enjoy the play De Sheherazade, directed by Maria Pagés and El Arbi El Harti.
Then, Princess Leonor of Spain made her first official visit to Girona as part of the events related to the Princess of Girona Awards. On this occasion she was accompanied by her sister Infanta Sofia, both visited the Dalí Theater-Museum in Figueres. In this particular event the princess gave much to talk about because of some injuries she had on her hand.
On July 4, Sofia and Leonor attended a meeting with the winners and members of the Board of the ‘Princess of Girona’ Foundation at the Albeniz Palace. Later in the evening, the heiress presided over the Princess of Girona Awards, where she surprised everyone after giving a speech in three languages.
Later, the sisters made their first international trip without their parents’ company. On that occasion they flew to London to enjoy a match of the Spanish women’s soccer team.
Several days later, Leonor traveled with her family to Santiago de Compostela on the occasion of the Apostle’s Day. There she wore a beautiful two-color low-cost dress.
Finally, the royal family traveled to Palma de Mallorca, where Leonor went on several outings. Starting with a visit to the Carthusian monastery of Valldemossa, then two evening outings: a family dinner and the other outing was a “girls only” walk.
The last time Princess Leonor was seen was during a morning tour of the Spanish royal family through the central shopping streets of Palma de Mallorca.
There is no doubt that it was an official agenda full of responsibilities for Leonor, who shows more self-confidence with every appearance she makes. Now the princess will have to focus on her studies.
When will Princess Leonor return to Spain?
It will not be until October 28 when Princess Leonor will return to Spain and have several days of rest, which will coincide with her 17th birthday on October 31.
