Prince Harry confessed in his book that he had consumed several drugs such as cocaine, hallucinogenic mushrooms, and marijuana during his adolescence. Although, in his interview with Canadian writer Gabor Maté, Lady Di’s youngest son revealed that the consumption of ayahuasca and marijuana has been beneficial for his mental health.
Despite the fact that Meghan Markle has decided to stay away from everything that has to do with ‘Spare’, many detractors of the Sussex suggest that she also often smokes marijuana with her husband, sporadically and in the privacy of their home.
Does Meghan Markle use drugs?
In the book ‘Spare’, Harry only talks about his personal experience with cannabis and makes no reference to Meghan Markle as his partner in drug use. However, for many, there is enough evidence that would prove that the former actress does smoke weed.
In 2018 the newspaper ‘The Sun’ revealed that Meghan Markle gave away ‘200’ joints of marijuana at her first wedding to Trevor Engelson, a ceremony that took place in Jamaica in 2011. This information was released through leaked emails to which the media had access.
Thomas Markle, father of the Duchess of Sussex confirmed that the wedding guests received a marijuana joint as a welcome gift. At the time, possession of the drug was illegal in Jamaica.
Another connection Meghan has to the world of marijuana is Tyler Dooley, her half-nephew, son of Thomas Markle Jr, half-brother of the Duchess of Sussex. Dooley is known for owning a legal cannabis business in Oregon, USA, where he has his own farm.
Prince Harry could be deported for drug use?
Last week, the conservative Heritage Foundation, asked authorities to disclose the visa application that Prince Harry filled out when he entered the United States.
The foundation wants everyone to know if the duke was truthful in the questionnaire taken to obtain the visa.
The document is mandatory to enter the North American country. People must provide personal information, and some questions are related to drug use. If the immigration department proves that someone lied on the questionnaire, one of the penalties would be deportation or denial of the opportunity to apply for citizenship.
Meghan Markle should have warned Prince Harry of the consequences of disclosing drug use
To royal biographer Angela Levin, Meghan should have warned her husband about the drug revelations in ‘Spare’.
“I don’t understand why his wife didn’t warn him,” Levin told Dan Wootton on GB News. “She didn’t say ‘be careful because if you talk too much about the drugs, you might be in trouble’.”
However, immigration lawyer Sam Adair and barrister James Leonard believe that revealing in a book that “you experimented with drugs when you were young” would not be enough evidence for immigration officials to launch an investigation.
Did Prince Harry smoke pot in the United States?
Yes, Harry revealed in his book that they moved to California, USA, and lived in filmmaker Tyler Perry’s mansion. There he started using drugs again, specifically marijuana.
“Late at night with everyone asleep, I would walk around the house, checking the doors and windows. Then I’d sit on the balcony or on the edge of the garden and roll a joint,” Prince Harry revealed.
The Prince of Wales’s brother also revealed that he smoked weed with friends after his first date with Meghan Markle.
In addition to fighting for social causes, and supporting charities, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry could share a joint of weed in the privacy of their home. Something usual in Hollywood, but totally forbidden in Buckingham.
