The rumor of Prince William’s alleged infidelity to Kate Middleton with her friend Rose Hanbury caused a stir in the monarchy and left the couple’s followers perplexed.
After 12 years of marriage, the Prince and Princess of Wales have cemented one of the most beloved relationships for royal fans and the British people, so the supposed idea that King Charles’ son would dare to repeat the story of his mother, Princess Diana, was hard to believe.
There was much talk of the alleged affair between him and Rose Hanbury, the Marchioness of Cholmondeley, as well as photos allegedly proving infidelity.
However, all those involved in this love affair chose to remain silent. This tactic proved to be the best to drown out the rumors, and little by little the storm calmed down.
Rose’s presence at the coronation of King Charles, accompanied by her husband David Rocksavage, the 7th Marquess of Cholmondeley, and the important participation of her son Oliver as one of the king’s pages of honor at the ceremony, also helped to dispel the rumors.

After several months of the scandal, the Marchioness reappeared on social media and participated in an activity at her stunning Houghton Hall estate.
The image shared on Friday, July 21 shows the marquise surrounded by children and young people who took part in a celebration of four years of The Papillon Project, a charity that works with Norfolk high schools and colleges with the aim of inspiring young people to grow food.
“Wonderful evening in the Houghton Walled Garden celebrating 4 years of @thepapillonproject who have created allotments into 35 Norfolk schools, working with students to make and manage them. An incredible achievement and an amazing charity,” the post reads.
The marquise wore a blue two-piece suit that she paired with a bold yellow top. Her hair was in loose waves and she wore little makeup.
