All Lady Di’s followers, who are millions around the world, are fascinated with the new photograph that has come to light and that very few have seen.
A Twitter user has posted the beautiful snapshot which is part of an official portrait of the royal household that was never published and is the work of photographer Terence Donovan.
New photo of Princess Diana
The image dates back to 1986, a rather difficult time for Princess Diana, marked by rumors circulating in the British press about the couple’s problems and infidelities. By that time Prince Charles had resumed his relationship with Camilla Parker Bowles, while Diana began an affair with army captain James Hewitt. Undoubtedly a very turbulent period.
Diana, who was 25 years old at the time, posed for the prestigious fashion photographer Terence Donovan, who photographed her on many occasions, but this particular photograph of that session had not come to light, thanks to the account specialized in British royalty The Royal Watcher that has allowed the followers of the People’s Princess to appreciate this curious image.
It should be noted that the snapshot was part of a series of official portraits of the royal family that were never published.
Diana was portrayed several times by Donovan in the 1980s and early 1990s. All of her official portraits were taken before her official separation from Prince Charles in 1992.
As a curious fact, another photograph that Donovan took of Princess Diana, which she did not like, was auctioned for 15,000 pounds last March in England. The British Postal Service had already used that photograph as part of a collection of stamps to commemorate the princess after her death in 1997.
