There is an intriguing situation surrounding Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice. There is speculation that the sisters are living a deliberate marginalization.
In a surprising turn of events, Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice have found themselves absent from several royal functions.
Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice: Are they being sidelined by the royal family?
Andrew Lownie, a reputed royal biographer, shed light on the reasons for their apparent marginalization and offered his perspective on the situation to Entertainment Daily.
Lownie claims that the exclusion of the York sisters from some royal events is part of a broader strategy to keep the York family “under the radar.”
He speculates that the royal family intends to gradually remove the entire York family from public life, primarily because of the “embarrassment” associated with Prince Andrew.
This idea gained momentum when Eugenie and Beatrice were replaced by William and Kate at the ‘Big Lunch’.

It was originally planned that the York sisters, would be in charge of welcoming guests at Windsor, but the Prince and Princess of Wales took over at the last minute.
Lownie suggests: “There’s a hope the York family, in general, will stay under the radar”.
The Duke of York faced a major setback after financially settling a sexual abuse case with Virginia Roberts Giuffre in 2021, resulting in the loss of his military titles and HRH status.
The princesses’ personal lives may also play a role in their diminishing public presence.
Both Eugenie and Beatrice now have families to take care of, and Eugenie just gave birth to her second child, Ernest, in May.
Lownie comments, “The Firm needs more working royals but the daughters are young mothers and have careers. Eugenie spends a lot of time in Portugal so not ideal.”
Balancing the demands of motherhood and personal aspirations may have led the princesses to pursue their careers rather than take on prominent roles as working royals, as their father, Prince Andrew, had envisioned.
However, contrary to Andrew Lownie’s statement, Princess Beatrice was seen at King Charles III’s first Royal Ascot, where she was accompanied by her husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.
