Since James, the son of Edward and Sophie, Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, took his royal title of Earl of Wessex, he has only been seen in public once.
The last time the 15-year-old was captured was at the Easter Sunday service attended by most of the British royal family. On that important day, James paid a special tribute to his grandfather, Philip Duke of Edinburgh, who on that day was commemorating the second year of his death.

Now, the young man who caused a sensation on social media has once again become the target of comments for his new public appearance, this time related to his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II.
James appeared in the photograph in which the queen is seen surrounded by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The image was taken by Princess Kate Middleton and shared on the official Instagram account of the Prince and Princess of Wales.
In the image, the Earl of Wessex can be seen standing behind the sofa where the Queen is sitting. The young man is standing right next to his sister, Lady Louise, and is dressed in dark pants and a grey shirt rolled up.
Queen Elizabeth’s grandchildren: Was James the favorite?
Contrary to many claims, that Prince Harry was the monarch’s favorite, the British press highlights the attachment that James maintained with his grandmother and especially with his grandfather Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, because they shared the same hobbies.
James has a quiet personality that made his grandparents spend pleasant moments with him. On family vacations at Balmoral, the youngster stands out from other family members and likes to spend time outdoors, something the Queen also enjoyed.
“He is quite good at flipping burgers and likes to get involved whenever there is a family barbecue at Balmoral,” revealed a source quoted by The Sun newspaper, that skill was highlighted by his grandmother.
