In her first act after the death of Queen Elizabeth II, Queen Letizia opted for black for her visit to La Palma, the Spanish town devastated by the volcano last 2021.
Specifically, Queen Letizia attended the opening of the new school year in that Spanish region. The consort visited several educational institutions and chose a completely different look from the bright orange she wore in her most recent event this week.

Queen Letizia dressed in black
For this occasion, the mother of Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofia, wore a sober look composed of a long-sleeved black blouse with V-neckline, a design by Sandro Paris, which she combined with a black and white sarong skirt by Massimo Dutti, very much in the style of Kate Middleton.

In addition, the King and Queen have left a dedication in the book of signatures that the embassy has provided so that any citizen can say goodbye to Elizabeth II.
“Her example of dignity, severity, tireless dedication to the service of the United Kingdom and its people will forever be a great source of inspiration for all we express our condolences with fraternal affection to King Charles III and the Queen consort, the royal family to the government and all the British people.”
The funeral will coincide with Queen Letizia’s 50th birthday, scheduled for Thursday, September 15, so we will have to wait to see what her agenda will be like.
