King Felipe and Queen Letizia led the traditional reception of the Diplomatic Corps accredited to Spain at the Royal Palace in Madrid, a solemn act marked by a small incident with the Queen’s attire.
For this occasion, Queen Letizia chose an elegant navy blue shirt dress, which she already wore in 2020.
It is a classically cut model that stands out for the design of the neckline, the lined buttoning, the flying skirt and the matching belt that accentuated her figure.
But what attracted the most attention was the set of jewelry she chose to complete her look.
It is a set of earrings and a choker of diamonds and sapphires with a large central pearl, given to her by the Emeritus Kings after her engagement to the then Prince Felipe.
What was Queen Letizia’s clothing mistake?
The jewels were the ones that played a trick on the consort, since she was also wearing a diamond and ruby bracelet that came off while she was greeting guests.
When the queen realized that the jewel was missing, she did not hesitate to bend down to pick it up from the floor, and instead of putting it in her purse or handing it to one of her assistants, she asked the king for help in putting it back on.
The Queen explained to the King what had happened to her and he, very attentive, carefully put the bracelet back on.
After this small setback, the King and Queen entered the hall where the luncheon was held, which began with the King’s speech.
This is not the first time that the Queen has had to deal with a outfit mishap.
