Queen Sofia’s striking style at the FEBA Annual Convention
The Queen Emeritus chose an original but sober look for the convention held at the Royal Tapestry Factory.
She wore a blouse printed with floral motifs in shades of blue and black. She combined the blouse with black palazzo pants.
The most striking part of her style was her accessories. In particular, a striking necklace of assorted pendants gave a bold touch to her outfit. Her bracelets echoed the eclectic style of the necklace.
With this eye-catching jewelry and her understated attire, the Queen demonstrated her impeccable fashion sense.
This was Sofia’s second public event after a two-month vacation in Mallorca and Greece.
The first was last Thursday, September 21, when she traveled to Malaga to preside over the II International Congress on Research and Innovation in Neurodegenerative Diseases coinciding with World Alzheimer’s Day.
It should be noted, that since King Felipe and Queen Letizia ascended the throne in 2014, the Queen Emeritus has taken a step back, focusing on charitable causes such as hunger and health.
Her upcoming events include accompanying her granddaughter, Princess Leonor, 17, and the King and Queen at the Princess of Asturias Awards ceremony on October 20.
