Hours after the Spanish newspaper El Confidencial published a preview of the book “King Corp” written by investigative journalists Jose Maria Olmo and David Fernandez where they reveal the existence of the fourth daughter of the emeritus monarch, it was said that the name that the daughter’s name was Alejandra de Rojas, a Spanish influencer who matches almost all the details provided by the journalists. Now it is known who was the alleged mistress of King Juan Carlos.
Who was Rosario Palacio, the mother of the secret daughter of King Juan Carlos?
According to the Spanish media, the name Rosario Palacios emerged as the possible mother of the fourth daughter of the emeritus. According to the controversial book that will go on sale on May 8, 2023, the then King Juan Carlos had an affair with a woman of the aristocracy who was older than him, and the result of that relationship was born Alejandra de Rojas, daughter of Rosario -Charo- Palacios and current wife of Beltrán Cavero.
Rosario was born on December 29, 1936, in Lisbon, Portugal, the daughter of Julio Palacios, an emblematic scientist.

In the 50s and 60s, she chose to enter the world of fashion and came to be considered one of the most elegant women of the time. She was even invited to the wedding of Juan Carlos I and Queen Sofia.
Rosario married Eduardo de Rojas, the fifth Count of Montarco, on August 18, 1968, and obtained the royal title of Countess of Montarco. From that relationship were born her firstborn, Julio de Rojas, and Alejandra Rojas, whose paternity is now in doubt.

In 2003 Rosario she suffered a domestic accident that marked a turning point in her life. The Countess’s health declined over the years and finally, in 2016, she passed away at the age of 79 in Madrid. During her life, she never commented, at least not publicly, on any details about the alleged relationship she had with the emeritus.
In fact, after the scandal, King Juan Carlos himself denied that he had ever had any kind of affair with the countess.
“Out of respect for the truth and the honor” of the people affected, he is forced to deny this information “rejecting and condemning as false all that has been published in relation to this fabricated affair”.
“I absolutely deny having had any amorous relationship with Mrs. Rosario Palacios and consequently having had a daughter with her”, the former head of state emphatically underlines.
