Spanish royalty is in the eye of the storm after the publication of an excerpt from the book “King Corp: The untold empire of Juan Carlos I”, which talks about an alleged secret daughter of the King emeritus, Juan Carlos I.
Last April 27th, a bombshell rumbled in the Zarzuela Palace, the father of the current King of Spain would have had an extramarital affair in the late 70s with a woman belonging to the high society of Madrid and from that relationship a girl named Alejandra was born.
Although the book does not reveal the identity of the girl, it did offer many clues, the media quickly pointed to Alejandra de Rojas as the protagonist of this story. After several days of speculations and rumors, Alejandra has broken her silence this Monday through a statement sent to the EFE agency.

In the statement, Alejandra flatly denies her alleged condition as the “secret daughter” of King Juan Carlos and denies having received special treatment during her childhood or youth. In addition, the young woman affirms that the news published in the media has no basis and is causing “almost irreparable” damage to her family and herself.
Faced with this situation, Alejandra is considering putting the case in the hands of her lawyers so that they can take the appropriate legal measures. The young woman also wanted to emphasize the deep pride she feels towards her parents, now deceased, to whom she owes everything and whose honor is safe for all those who knew them.
“Given the news published last week as a preview of a book that is intended to be published soon, and the endless news published in the press, radio, television, and social networks about me, I am forced to categorically deny my condition of ‘secret daughter’ of King Juan Carlos, as well as all the comments made about an alleged special treatment received during my childhood or youth, because of that false condition”, Alejandra has stated.
Alejandra has said that all “the news that has been published are unfounded and cause almost irreparable damage to my family and of course to me”, hence she is considering putting the case in the hands of her lawyers.
For his part, the emeritus King Juan Carlos has also denied the story raised in the book with a resounding: “It is not true that I have a daughter”.
This latest chapter on the Spanish monarchy has generated great controversy. King Felipe VI has preferred to stay out of this matter and has avoided making statements about it.
