The health of King Juan Carlos I of Spain has been the subject of intense scrutiny and concern in recent years.

At 86 years old, the monarch is living outside his native country, and according to reports, King Felipe does not want his father to die outside Spain.

Well-known journalist Jaime Peñafiel, Queen Letizia’s number one enemy, has shared revealing information about this matter of great public interest.

King Juan Carlos’s health worries King Felipe

According to Peñafiel, the health of Juan Carlos is of utmost concern to King Felipe VI.

The journalist claims that the emeritus king “is in very bad shape and could die at any moment.” This situation has worried his son, who has refused to allow him to return to Spain.

Peñafiel assures that, during a meeting in London, Juan Carlos informed his son about his serious health problems, being really worried.

The journalist openly criticizes the situation of the emeritus king, describing it as “unfair” and “mistreatment”.

Peñafiel argues that Juan Carlos did not leave Spain of his own free will, on the day of Princess Leonor’s birthday, but was expelled by his son.

He revealed that the king and his father had a strong argument that ended with Juan Carlos crying, after he was forbidden to stay overnight in Madrid.

“As he dies in exile, Felipe is going to cry tears of blood all his life,” the journalist warned.

Peñafiel suggests that the loneliness Juan Carlos has lived in recent years has diminished his health, increasing the risk of a fatal outcome far from Spain.

The journalist has always been a detractor of Felipe and Letizia and assures that “Juan Carlos is the best king that the Spanish monarchy has had for 38 years.”

“It is unfair that today he is in exile,” he sentenced.

Meanwhile, Felipe VI’s sisters, Infantas Elena and Cristina, who spend more time with their father, have asked that the emeritus king be allowed to return to Spain.

Although he will not be able to return to the royal residence of Zarzuela, there is speculation that he could settle in Geneva with his daughter Cristina.
