The investigation into the assassination attempt on Donald Trump on July 13, 2024 has taken a radical turn.
The British press has revealed the disturbing contents of the two phones and the laptop Thomas Matthew Crooks, the alleged perpetrator of the shot that wounded the former president of the United States in the left ear.
As revealed by the press, the shooter had been investigating Kate Middleton before attempting to assassinate the Republican politician.
Just a few hours ago, the press had reported that Crooks had made some searches related to the royal family, but until now it is known that it was about the Princess of Wales.
Why Thomas Matthew Crooks researched Kate Middleton
As reported by media such as the Daily Mail or the New York Post, Matthew Crooks downloaded photos of the future queen, as revealed by the FBI analysis.
U.S. police discovered his apparent fixation with British royalty after searching Crooks’ home and seizing his electronic devices.
Prince William’s wife was the only non-U.S. personality in the group of people found in his Internet search history.
It is still unclear with what intention the man had pictures of Kate, but there is no evidence that Thomas Crooks had plans to travel to the UK any time soon.
The shooter, who died moments after attempting to kill Trump, had also sought information on Joe Biden, FBI Director Christopher Wray and U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland, in addition to Trump.
For its part, the Kensington Palace refused to give statements on the event.
