Prince George, who turns 10 this July 22, will celebrate his 10th birthday surrounded by his family.
Throughout his life there are many fans of royalty who wonder who the future king resembles and reviewing the family archives we already know who he resembles the most.
The son of the Prince and Princess of Wales is a clear heir to Princess Diana’s family: the Spencers.
This is evidenced by a photo recently shared by Charles Spencer, the brother of William’s mother.
The image, which is nearly 100 years old, shows his father as a child and highlights the striking physical resemblance between him and the young prince.
Who does Prince George look like
The ninth Earl of the Spencers, Prince William’s uncle, has shared a new find that demonstrates that resemblance.
On his Instagram account, Charles revealed that he found a curious photo while going through some of the family albums.
One of the photos he posted is about a visit Queen Mary made to Althorp House in the 1930s.
“Queen Mary visiting @althorphouse in the 1930s, with my grandparents either side, my aunt Anne standing, and my father with his dog, Charles wrote clarifying who is in the photo.
The post quickly racked up thousands of “likes” and hundreds of comments, many of which emphasized one particular aspect: the striking resemblance between John Spencer, 8th Earl Spencer and Prince George.
Some people even noted that the direct heir to the British throne also resembles his great-grandmother, Cynthia Spencer, who is also featured in the shared photograph.

John Spencer, who was born in 1924, would have been around 10 years old, precisely the age George will be this July 22.
Likewise, there are comments on the social media that associate George’s resemblance to his great-uncle, Charles Spencer himself.
There were also comments that recalled that Prince William also had similar features to his maternal family when he was a child.
