One of the protagonists of the coronation of King Charles has been Lord Oliver Cholmondeley, son of the Marquess of Cholmondeley and Rose Hanbury, the marchioness has been the target of controversy after it was leaked that she had an alleged extramarital affair with the heir to the throne, Prince William.
Much has been said about these rumors that do not go beyond mere speculation, but the truth is that Rose’s name resonates more and more strongly within the British Royal House. This time she was not the protagonist but her 13-year-old son, Lord Oliver, who was one of the pages of honor of King Charles during the coronation ceremony.

The teenager earned a prominent role in the ceremony thanks to the royal connections of his mother and especially his father, David Rocksavage, 7th Marquess of Cholmondeley who was Lord Great Chamberlain to Queen Elizabeth and now promoted to Lord-in-Waiting to King Charles.
On the other hand, Rose Hanbury’s maternal grandmother and therefore great-grandmother of Oliver Cholmondeley was one of Queen Elizabeth II’s bridesmaids on her wedding day in 1947.
Rose’s son stood alongside Prince George, Nicholas Barclay, and Ralph Tollemache. The pages had the task of carrying the heavy robes down the aisle of Westminster Abbey.
After the coronation ceremony, Lord Oliver reappeared at Prince William’s side during the official greeting on the balcony of Buckingham Palace, in a position that, as expected, was to be occupied by Prince George, who stood right next to Oliver.
