The controversial nephew of King Felipe VI, Juan Froilán, went to Abu Dhabi with his grandfather, King Emeritus Juan Carlos I, to get away from controversy.
About his new life in the Arab country, Spanish media reported that he enjoyed a good job in an oil company and that his salary was quite high.

However, it is now known that the son of the Infanta Elena and Jaime de Marichalar would not be as surrounded by comforts as it was initially said.

A source revealed to the Spanish magazine Vanitatis that the first grandson of the emeritus kings of Spain is not surrounded by luxuries and lives in a “very normal apartment and he is in charge of paying for it himself”, said the source.
He also points out that the 22-year-old has never worked for an oil company in the Arab country.
“He has never worked for any oil company, nor has he ever held high positions, or anything like that. He has a junior position like other young guys,” the source said.
He added that his work since arriving in Abu Dhabi has to do with what he studied. “He is very happy and usually has lunch with Don Juan Carlos whenever his schedule allows,” he said.
It was also known that Felipe Juan Froilán will be part of the organization of the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP28).
These meetings will be held in Dubai from November 30 to December 12.
Juan Froilán is going to collaborate, but this is not a new job, but a continuation of the contract with the company he currently works for.
