The Infanta Elena, sister of King Felipe VI, has attended the second edition of the bullfighting awards Las Meninas de España. Elena is the honorary president of the event because of her well-known love for bullfighting.
The Duchess of Lugo obtained the recognition of the group in its first year of celebration. Elena has been for years the official companion of her father, King Emeritus Juan Carlos I, in the bullrings and has earned a position of respect within the world of bullfighting.
The love for bullfighting comes from Elena’s paternal family, although her sister Cristina and King Felipe do not share that love. Elena’s grandmother, the Countess of Barcelona, never missed a bullfight in the bullrings.
Elena’s children, Froilán, 24, and Victoria, 22, also share her love for bullfighting. A month ago, Victoria received her first award related to the bullfighting world in the Plaza de Las Ventas. Victoria maintains a close friendship with her ex-boyfriend, the bullfighter Gonzalo Caballero and the Peruvian bullfighter Roca Rey.
Where does Felipe Juan Froilan live and who pays his bills?
During her attendance at the event, the Infanta Elena was close and took pictures with the guests. She also answered journalists’ questions about the state of her father, King Juan Carlos I, assuring that “he is in very good health and everything”. In addition, Elena cleared doubts about the financing of the luxury apartment in Dubai of her son Froilán, assuring him that he pays for it with his salary. She also assured that “Froilán is happy in Abu Dhabi, he does not come at Easter”.
The grandson of King Juan Carlos I of Spain headed to Abu Dhabi in February to get away from the controversies in which he has been involved in recent months.
Felipe Juan Froilan works for ADNOC, an oil company under the command of Sultan Ahmed al-Jaber, a close friend of the emeritus king of Spain.
The salary Froilán could be earning would be between 6,000 and 10,000 euros a month, about 4,600 and 10,600 US dollars.
The son of Infanta Elena would be enjoying complete freedom since the laws of the Arab country prevent taking pictures of strangers and the paparazzi are completely forbidden.
