Although Princess Leonor is currently away from the public eye, she is preparing to assume certain institutional events that will mark her new life.
On her way to becoming the Queen of Spain, the 17-year-old Princess has been preparing these days for the demanding tests she will have to undergo to enter the General Military Academy of Zaragoza next August.
However, Leonor will make room in those preparation days to fulfill a very special event: the delivery of the Princess of Girona Awards.

As every year around this time, the foundation of which she is the honorary president will recognize the work of young entrepreneurs, and the heiress will be there not only to present them with the award but also to give a speech.
As confirmed by the Spanish press, the awards ceremony will take place on July 5th. However, it is expected that the royal family will arrive in the Catalonia region a day earlier.
As happened last year, it is planned that Leonor and Sofia will carry out an activity in the province of Girona.
In 2022, both of them visited the Dalí Museum, located in Figueres.
Leonor attended this event for the first time in 2019, surprising everyone by giving her speech in Catalan.
The young heir can speak the languages of her country, as well as English and Arabic.

The princess will attend the award ceremony a few weeks before entering the Military Academy.
At the moment, she is preparing for the physical, English, and psychological tests.
In addition, Leonor will have to undergo a medical examination and will be ready to start her military career on August 17th.
