Leonor of Borbón By Lillian Torres

How have Princess Leonor’s grades been in Wales and How did Queen Letizia’s grades used to look?

Princess Leonor of Spain is in the final stage of her studies at the UWC Atlantic College in Wales. The Spanish heiress has been submitting the last evaluations and at the end of this May, she will return to her country to start a new stage at the Military Academy.

It is no secret that the daughters of King Felipe and Queen Letizia have had an almost secret life. The little that is known about them is what the Spanish press has been able to investigate, as the Royal House is cautious with the information it shares about the princesses. However, as we already mentioned, the press has ways of finding details of Leonor and Sofia’s life.

    Princess Leonor’s grades

Princess Leonor, who has been harshly criticized in recent days for not attending the coronation of King Carlos III, preferred not to participate in the ceremony to be focused on final exams.

In fact, it was Queen Letizia who demanded Leonor stay in Wales and focus on what is much more important for her future: her studies. Because, as published by ¡HOLA! magazine, last year, the princess passed with very good grades.

“She couldn’t have tried harder, or taken better advantage of these almost ten months of boarding school,” the magazine added. “She has studied very hard and successfully overcome the demands of a different system, where all students have spectacular grades,” it added, defining her grades as “extraordinary”. A trajectory that has been maintained this year, with almost everything excellent.

What were Queen Letizia’s grades like?

Leonor, more focused on her studies, did not inherit that from her mother. According to the Spanish portal, El Nacional, the queen, on the other hand, was more scattered.

Queen Letizia finished her studies in the evening school hours. And although she later graduated in Journalism, her grades were quite fair. Perhaps the fact that she fell in love with her literature teacher, Alonso Guerrero, ten years older than her, was partly to blame. Moreover, like Leonor, she also studied abroad. Letizia went to Mexico, where she was quite off-center.
