Despite the rumors surrounding Meghan Markle and Prince Harry that point to a separation, the couple of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are preparing for a very special date and it is none other than the second birthday of Princess Lilibet Diana.
The second daughter of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex came into the world on June 4, 2021, and is, along with her brother Archie, one of the most unknown royals. Public photographs of them can easily be counted and we have only been able to see what they look like through Harry and Meghan’s documentary on Netflix or in photographs that they authorize to publish.
Princess Lilibet’s second birthday
Although the couple has a very private life, they are expected to host a very intimate party on June 4 at their home in Montecito, California, so that their youngest daughter can blow out the candles surrounded by her loved ones.
However, Prince Harry’s family will not attend as they have only had two opportunities to see Lilibet since her birth.
What is certain is that it will be a very different party from last year, it is worth remembering that they celebrated the first year of the little one in the UK in the middle of the acts of celebration of the Platinum Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II.
This was the last time Harry shared time with his grandmother until her death in September of that same year and it is presumed that it was also the first time the monarch met the baby.
For that party, the couple took the opportunity to organize a small picnic in the gardens of Frogmore Cottage, a meeting where there was a pink lemon cake and lots of flowers, although the absence of her cousins, George, Charlotte and Louis, William and Kate’s children, stood out.
A few months after the little girl’s birthday, a few minutes of this family celebration could be seen in the controversial Netflix documentary.
