After her father’s sad death in 1952, Princess Elizabeth became Queen Elizabeth II at the age of 25, and this year she celebrates 70 years on the throne, the longest reign in British history.
Queen Elizabeth II will not publicly celebrate her birthday until next June, when the Trooping the Colour takes place. A parade that this year will coincide with the celebrations for her Platinum Jubilee where the entire British royal family will probably be seen posing together on the balcony of Buckingham Palace.
