An event that marked the return of Queen Letizia to England took place this Tuesday, April 5. The wife of King Felipe of Spain joined Prince Charles for the inauguration of the ‘Zurbaran, the Twelve Tribes of Israel: Jacob and His Sons’ collection and the Spanish Gallery at Bishop Auckland, the only gallery in the UK dedicated exclusively to the art, history and culture of Spain.
For the appointment, the Queen was received at Auckland Castle, located in County Durham, by Prince Charles, who had no qualms about showing his affection for the Spanish monarch.
In this event the queen chose to wear a brand new garment, a burgundy midi dress, with black buttons on the shoulder, closed Cleavage and pleated skirt, a design by Carolina Herrera, the designer with whom the queen emeritus, Sofia of Grecia met during her trip to New York.
Queen Letizia’s complete look consisted of combining the dress with a black oversize cloth coat, also from the Venezuelan brand. As for accessories, she wore a handbag and burgundy Magrit pumps.
Regarding jewelry, the mother of Leonor and Sofia wore Chanel’s white gold and diamond feather earrings and her inseparable Karen Hallam ring.
For the styling, the queen wore her hair in a half updo that served to face the strong wind of the British town.
