In her latest appearances, Meghan Markle, has incorporated some new accessories to complement her outfit. It is about some rings that many followers of the Sussex has caught the attention.
These jewelry accessories have a particular meaning especially for the fight she has undertaken for the empowerment of women.
The Duchess of Sussex debuted two new diamond rings at the Invictus Games held in The Hague last April. She also wore them during Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations, specifically Trooping the Colour and most recently on her visit to New York, where Prince Harry has given a Speech at the United Nations.
What do Meghan Markle’s rings mean?
The diamond-encrusted pieces are from the Shiffon Co. brand, is one of the pieces is dubbed Tennis Pinky Ring from 1972 and is inspired by the tennis bracelet with small diamonds around it.
Meghan, 40, is also wearing the Duet Pinky Ring from the same brand. The ring is adjustable and has small diamonds sitting next to a larger one, this to represent one woman supporting another through a “pinky promise.”
It should be noted that the Shiffon brand donates half of its profits to fund women through its non-profit organization, The Startup Girl Foundation.
Proceeds also go to an investment fund dedicated to Women in Sports, not only in fitness, but also in mental health, wellness and recovery.
