The Infanta Sofia of Spain is ready to start a new life in the United Kingdom.
The younger sister of Princess Leonor will begin her studies next September at the UWC Atlantic College in Wales.
Sofia will follow in her sister’s footsteps and will spend two years at the same educational institute where the future Spanish queen studied international baccalaureate.
The Infanta will arrive at the school with the confidence of someone who is not going to an unfamiliar place, as Leonor surely told her about the routines of the place she visited last May 20 for her sister’s graduation.
But now, in addition, she is going to meet some of her classmates.
Sofia’s reunion with her classmates
The Royal House has made an extension in its agenda, where they have communicated that next Friday, July 14, Sofia and the rest of his family will receive the board of trustees of the Spanish Committee of the United World Schools Foundation, sponsors of scholarships, and students. This foundation is the one that supports the UWC.
Two years ago, the Royal Family also received this board of trustees. Each year, this school selects students from 155 countries who go through a process in which those young people with the most merit and potential win.
A few months ago the Zarzuela Palace reported that Sofia had also successfully passed all the tests for her entrance.
The second in the line of succession will spend two years in boarding school, sharing a room with three other girls who speak different languages.
It will be two years in which the students make a new family with their classmates and which will end with graduation, in Sofia’s case, in May 2025.
Before that, she will have faced the demands of the International Baccalaureate, a very tough training system, especially in the final year.
