It’s been a tough few days for everyone. Members of the British monarchy have followed all the protocol to the letter following the death of Queen Elizabeth II on September 8, 2022.

Some members of the royal house of Windsor had kept a low profile until now, that is the case of James Mountbatten-Windsor, the youngest grandson of Queen Elizabeth II, 14 years old, who, since the celebrations of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, until the recent acts of the funeral of the monarch has taken more prominence.

Grieving, like any young man who has lost a grandmother, this is how the son of Edward and Sophia, Earls of Wessex, appeared on Saturday, September 14.

Viscount Severn, who ranks 14th in the line of succession to the throne, accompanied the rest of his cousins on Saturday, September 17, at the royal vigil in Westminster Hall. During the 15 minutes he remained with his head lowered as a sign of respect.

The media exposure in recent days has led him to become one of the protagonists, especially after remaining generally low profile following the decision of his parents, Prince Edward and Sophie, Countess of Wessex, not to raise their children James and Louise with the title of “prince or princess”.
