Queen Elizabeth’s youngest grandson finally turned up. Following the monarch’s death, James Mountbatten-Windsor, son of Prince Edward and Sophie, Countess of Wessex, attended Westminster Hall to honor his grandmother.
This Wednesday, September 14, Viscount Severn, 14, joined the rest of the royal family for the service, after Queen Elizabeth’s coffin made its procession from Buckingham Palace to Westminster Hall where it will remain for four days and end on the morning of Monday, September 19, when the state funeral will take place.

James, who after the Queen’s death ranks 14th in line of succession to the throne, was at the side of his sister, Lady Louise and both were seen to be very saddened by the death of their grandmother.
The press has highlighted that the young man, who is quite discreet, had a lot of connection with the late queen and had even earned the title of “Queen Elizabeth’s favorite grandson”.
James’ last public appearance was last August when he was seen at the Commonwealth Games.
It is presumed that, after the Queen’s death last September 8, the young man had not appeared because he has no titles and is not an active member of The Firm, as the British monarchy is known.
